Emergence explores how clarity and form arise through motion, color, and rhythmic interplay. A transparent texture animated by prominent xylophone writing allows patterns and gestures to surface organically across the ensemble. Drawing on the open sonorities of Aaron Copland and the neoclassical wit of Igor Stravinsky, the music unfolds with buoyant rhythms, clean lines, and bright timbres, creating a sense of lightness that feels immediate yet continually in flux. At the same time, the work is shaped by the idea of emergence on a more personal level: the gradual movement from darkness toward clarity and renewal. Emergence finds vitality in the act of becoming itself—where balance, play, and luminosity reveal themselves through motion, exchange, and transformation.
